2023 Fairbank Fiano

A new offering in our range the 2023 Fairbank Fiano is made to showcase the quality of this wonderful Italian varietal and its obvious affinity with the Bendigo region and Sutton Grange vineyard. Vibrant with exotic fruit to the fore, a palate bursting with flavour, texture, and zingy freshness with a good measure of palate structure and complexity. The resulting wine is eminently smashable and very much in the house style.
Predominantly whole bunch pressed with a small portion fruit receiving 4hrs skin contact via foot stomping in a picking bin. The juice was cold settled overnight and then racked with fluffy grape solids to a mixture tank and old oak for fermentation. The new wines were topped and sulphured to inhibit Malolactic fermentation and matured for 4 months Sur Lie before being blended, stabilised, and finished in September before being bottled in early December 2023.
